STEMI Provider Manual & Ruler

The STEMI Provider Manual and the ECG (Electrocardiogram) ACS (Acute Coronary Syndromes) Ruler are key products to address the ongoing need to train emergency professionals in the early recognition of STEMI.

The STEMI Provider Manual, previously sold individually, is a self study booklet that enables out-of-hospital and emergency department personnel to increase the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and survival rates for STEMI patients. The booklet also provides continuing education credit. The ECG ACS Ruler, which is also sold separately, is another tool created to aid out-of-hospital and emergency department personnel with reading, analysis and recognition of electrocardiograms.

The package is intended for out-of hospital healthcare providers, such as paramedics, as well as emergency department personnel, including nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physicians, and other STEMI systems of care providers. This has been updated based on the new American Heart Association 2010 Guidelines!

Eligibility for continuing education credit:

• physicians -- American Heart Association designates this enduring material for a maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(TM)
• physician assistants -- AAPA accepts Category I credit from AOACCME, Prescribed credit from AAFP, and AMA PRA Category 1 Credit from organizations accredited by ACCME
• nurses -- American Heart Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation; the maximum number of hours awarded for this CE activity is 1.50 contact hours
• emergency medical services -- This continuing education activity is approved by American Heart Association, an organization accredited by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS), for 1.50 Advanced CEHs, activity number 11-AMHA-F3-0132
