Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR)
If you are a new provider or have a BLS for Healthcare Provider card that HAS expired, you must take the full certification class.
If you have a current, NON-EXPIRED, BLS for Healthcare Provider card, you are eligible to take the recertification course.
The BLS Healthcare
Provider Course is designed to
provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to
recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an
AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is
intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed healthcare
professionals.
The full certification course is designed for
providers who are seeking certification for the first time or those
who have let their previous certification expire.
This course includes:
- Adult, Child and Infant CPR (including 2-rescurer sceanarios and use of a bag mask)
- Foreign-Body Airway Obstruction
- Use of Automated External Defibrillator
The intended audience is healthcare providers such as
physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory
therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants,
residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students in training, aides,
medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health
personnel.
