●ECG/Pharmacology
The American
Heart Association’s ECG & Pharmacology course is a methodical review of
basic ECG interpretation & resuscitation pharmacology. The course is
intended for certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed professionals
that work in the field of healthcare and are responsible for participation in
cardiac evaluation and/or resuscitation.
Common
participants of this course include physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency
medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational
therapists, physician assistants, dentists, residents and fellows, medical students,
and others who will work in an acute care, surgical, or hospital settings.
This course
is commonly taken as a review of material prior to enrolling in ACLS or PALS
training for those healthcare providers who do not participate in resuscitation
or ECG interpretation on a regular basis.
This course

- Electrical Conduction System of
the Heart
- Lead Placement & Basic Rhythm
Analysis
- Rhythm Strip Interpretation
Practice
- Pharmacology and Indications for
Cardiac and Resuscitation Medications
- Integration of Pharmacological
Agents into ACLS Algorithms
- Resuscitation Treatment
Algorithms (BLS & ACLS)

Participants
receive a course completion certificate after completion of the course. There
is no written or skills examination at the completion of the course.
