○EMS Safety Course
The National Association of Emergency Medical
Technicians’ (NAEMT)’s EMS Safety Course is designed to
promote safe practices by EMS personnel. The course increases the awareness and
understanding of EMS safety standards and practices. The course includes safety
in emergency vehicles, on the scene of a call, handling patients, interacting
with bystanders, and personal safety. By presenting case studies and current
EMS issues surrounding EMS safety the course allows all participants to fully
engage in the course. EMS Safety is a continuing education course that is
recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
and by the Continuing Education Certification Board for Emergency Medical
Services (CECBEMS). This course is intended for and recommended for any
individual involved in EMS including EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P, as well as any
individual interested in learning pre-hospital safety techniques and standards.

and potentially violent situations

in various operational situations
