â—‹Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC)

The Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC) course is a course focused on the care of sick or injured children. This course provides an in-depth analysis of the pathophysiology of the most common pediatric emergency issues. This course stresses critical thinking in emergency situations. The Pediatric Assessment Triangle (PAT) is used as in integral part of the course. Individuals benefitting from this course would include any healthcare provider that comes in contact with pediatrics on a frequent basis. These individuals would include EMS personnel, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, etc.

This course requires previous healthcare training.

Successful performance of both a written exam and a skills exam are required for a completion card.
