This is the student manual for the Heartsaver First Aid courses. It is the updated manual based on the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC. The manual provides updated content and new illustrations. It providers students with materials to review before the course, a workbook during the course and serves as a reference book for the student after the course.

Additionally, there are three required modules (General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies) and one optional module (Environmental Emergencies) for the Heartsaver First Aid Course. The modules contain information on how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

This course text is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
